Kampung Haji Matahir Laut has become the location for the water supply assessment by the Water Department, where they are evaluating the suitability to supply water through the rural water supply scheme under the Ministry of Rural Development (KKDW).
According to YB Sarifuddin Hata, the ADUN N.72 Merotai, he along with the officers from the Water Department have examined the installation of water pipes to the area, considering that the water supply has not reached this village for a long time. "I request the kindness of the Water Department to prioritize the water pipe installation project for this village to enable the water supply to be delivered to the residents," he stated.
He also informed the villagers about the water supply situation. He said that during normal times, whether in the morning or daytime, the water pressure may be low or the water supply may be interrupted. However, at night, the water pressure is expected to be stronger and can be channeled to fill the provided water tanks.
