The Pusat Khidmat Rakyat N19 Likas was officially launched by YB Cikgu Tham Yun Fook at an event attended by leaders of the Warisan Party and its supporters. The ceremony marked the opening of an office that represents an important milestone in his political journey as a representative of the people.
YB Cikgu Tham expressed his gratitude to the President of Parti Warisan, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie Haji Apdal, who was present to officiate the ceremony. He also conveyed his appreciation to the party’s Deputy President and Vice Presidents who were unable to attend as they were in Kuala Lumpur.
In his speech, YB Cikgu Tham stated that the opening of the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat was not merely the launch of an office, but a symbol of a shared victory. He thanked everyone who had supported him throughout the election campaign up to the present day.
YB Cikgu Tham also expressed his deep appreciation for the support given by the President of Parti Warisan, who helped guide his transition from a civil servant into politics. He emphasized that this achievement was made possible through collective effort and strong support from many parties, including his family who also played an important role during the election campaign.
During the event, he announced that 220 new members had applied to join Parti Warisan under the Likas constituency, along with four applications to establish new party branches. This reflects the growing confidence and support of the people towards the struggle of Parti Warisan.
Although currently serving in the opposition and without allocations from the State Government, YB Cikgu Tham stressed that their fighting spirit remains strong. He noted that many of the office’s needs had to be self-funded and supported by individuals who believe in their cause.
In closing, he emphasized that the struggle of Parti Warisan is far from over and expressed confidence that, with the continued support of the people, they will once again be given the mandate to lead the state of Sabah. YB Cikgu Tham ended his speech with a message of determination and hope for a better future.
