Majlis Rumah Terbuka Sepanggar 2026 Festive, Gathering Various Ethnicities
SEPANGGAR, April 18, 2026 — Majlis Rumah Terbuka Sepanggar 2026 organized by the Head of Information for Heritage, Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman, was held festively with the attendance of a diverse community of various ethnicities, races, and religions.
According to him, the event held in a modest atmosphere successfully attracted many visitors, including those who came from outside the area solely to celebrate the occasion. The presence of the Chinese community this year was also seen to have increased, reflecting a strong spirit of unity among the local community.
Residents of Kampung Darau Laut were also appreciated for their strong support, arriving early in the morning with their families dressed in traditional attire. Additionally, residents from around the Sepanggar constituency, including Karambunai, Darau, and Inanam, were reported to have arrived even earlier, despite the event being scheduled to start at 12:30 PM.
In his speech, he also apologized for any shortcomings during the organization of the event, including aspects of food preparation and facilities, should there be any unintentional imperfections.
In a related development, the atmosphere of the event was also tinged with sadness when it was announced that a resident of Kampung Darau Laut had passed away during the event. Condolences were conveyed to the family of the deceased, with prayers for the soul to be placed among the faithful.
The event concluded with wishes for Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 and hopes that the community can continue to meet and strengthen ties in future celebrations.
