JOINT STATEMENT BY WARISAN PARTY STATE ASSEMBLYMEN
Recently, we have taken serious note of the increasingly widespread and coordinated spread of false information targeting Warisan Party State Assemblymen (ADUN), particularly in urban constituencies. There are irresponsible parties claiming that Warisan ADUNs are receiving allocations from the government.
We firmly state that such claims are defamatory and deliberately false. Warisan Party ADUNs do not receive any such allocations as alleged.
The dissemination of this false information is clearly a malicious and unethical tactic aimed at inciting the public, creating anger towards opposition representatives, and tarnishing our reputation. It is being actively circulated within community groups and on social media platforms, including Facebook, to influence public perception.
We issue a stern warning to those involved to immediately cease the spread of these defamatory claims. The act of spreading false information is not only unethical but may also be subject to legal action.
Warisan Party ADUNs will continue to serve the people with full commitment, integrity, and responsibility, even without any government allocations. We will not succumb to dirty politics intended to undermine public trust in us.
We will not hesitate to take legal action against any individual or party who continues to spread such defamatory and false information.
The public is urged to be more discerning in evaluating information and not to be easily misled by malicious propaganda.
