KUDAT, May 9, 2026: The WARISAN Party of P167 Kudat continues to show concern for the plight of fire victims in Kampung Gumpa, Kudat by once again providing assistance to the families affected by the incident.
The fire that occurred on April 16 has caused residents to lose their homes, and to date, the victims are still temporarily housed in the Multipurpose Hall of Kampung Gumpa.
The program for the distribution of food basket donations was led by Datuk Harun Ismail, former WARISAN candidate for N3 Pitas, along with party leaders and members to alleviate the burden of the affected residents.
Also present were Zinin Adong Ajak as a member of the WARISAN Supreme Council, Khairuddin Daud, Chief of Wira Kudat and Deputy Chief of Wira, Kalidah as Exco of Wirawati Center, and Datuk Siti Aminah.
A total of 18 families of fire victims received food basket donations and a washing machine for communal use during the program as a sign of solidarity and ongoing support from WARISAN to the local community.
According to the organizers, this assistance is the second time it has been provided after the Wira WARISAN wing previously also went down to help residents affected immediately after the fire incident.
WARISAN P167 Kudat emphasizes that efforts to assist those in need will continue to be carried out consistently regardless of time, especially when the community faces difficulties and loses their homes due to disasters.
